Your profile should be easy to share and easy to keep current. We’ve revamped the submission process so you can introduce yourself, show your projects, and make updates directly on IndieDeveloper.org.
The new flow starts with GitHub sign-in and takes you through a form and a preview before you submit. You don’t need to edit a JSON file or open a pull request to join the directory.
Start with your GitHub account
Choose “Submit your profile”, then “Sign in with GitHub”. We use your GitHub identity to connect you with your profile, so you can return to it later. Sign-in does not request access to your repositories.
Once you’re signed in, add your name and a short introduction. Tell people what interests you, what you’re working on, or the problem you keep coming back to.
Give your projects a little context
For each project, add a name, a website link, and a one-sentence description. You can also include links to a cover image and logo. A clear description helps another maker understand what you’re building and why they might want to take a look.
There’s room for optional details too: your location, personal website, interests, tools, and social links. Share what you want people to see on your public profile. An early side project is welcome; you don’t need a polished launch to introduce yourself.
Preview, then send it for review
Choose “Preview profile” to see how your information will look before sending it. If something needs changing, return to the editor. When you’re happy with it, choose “Submit for review”.
Your profile is saved while it waits for an administrator to review it. It becomes visible in the directory after approval. You can return to the form to check its status, see any reviewer feedback, and keep editing while you wait.
Keep your profile current
Once your profile is approved, saved edits appear immediately. Add a new project, update a description, or change your links as your work develops. You don’t need a new approval for every edit.
Come show us what you’re making
The directory is a way to put a person behind a project and find other people doing independent work. We hope the new form makes it easier to take that first step, and to come back when you have something new to share.
Choose “Submit your profile” to get started. We’d love to see what you’re building.
